A 25-year-old Cincinnati man is dead following a hit-and-run crash in southeast Indiana.

According to the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the area of Whitewater Motors on Harrison Brookeville Road in West Harrison around 2:35 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities identified the victim Wednesday as Casey Webb, of Cincinnati.

The sheriff said the driver fled from the scene after hitting the pedestrian, describing the suspect vehicle as a full-size, dark-colored Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck.

Investigators now say that the driver of that truck has been identified and the truck has been located. However, officials have not provided the name of the individual involved.

The victim was identified as Casey Webb, 25, of Cincinnati, Ohio. On Nov. 3, the driver of the truck was identified and the truck was located. A final release will be issued once charges are filed. The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police.
